Shelter savvy
Not particularly sturdy and not heavy duty at all. This tent is good for very occasional or one time party use. The tubing is all light gauge steel and each section consists of two or three joints making the poles very flimsy. It will pull apart easily while you are trying to set it up and only gains rigidity when you put the top on. Get two friends to help you setup and it will make life much easier. If you need something inexpensive for a party where your wind loads are low or you have good soil to anchor into you should be fine. Make sure to anchor to the top of the tent and not the bottom of the poles. It will pull apart from the bottom easily.

Purchased the 10 x 30 party tent for my son's graduation party. Once up, it was very nice, and quite large. We comfortably fit 36 people under it, using 4 8 foot tables. Assembly was somewhat challenging as the directions were really just a diagram. We had two people putting it up, four would have been better. Be careful with the velcro ties as they rip easily and have duct tape handy as the poles bend. A storage bag would have been nice. But, as with all things you get what you pay for and the price was right. I would definelty recommend this, and I should think you would get multiple uses out of it.
Great set up for parties and weddings August 14, 2010

I purchased two of the 10x30 tents, we constructed the 2 tents side by side which gave us room for 100 plus. Two set it up in about 45 min, would recommend early set up so there is no frustration. After reading the comments we used a drill & small machine screws to secure the top cover poles together, this worked great! When taking down, we simply removed the screws and marked the poles with tape and numbered them for future use. We used zip ties to secure the lighting to the top poles. Great tent for parties and weddings, everyone loved them! The material was not as sturdy as I had hoped for, but it held up well.

I guess it's hard to complain for the price......but......
1. It's pretty flimsy
2. They designed part of the poles correctly and not the other poles. Some of them have a slot that allows a small "spring clip" to pop into and not slide out. Then, they design other poles to just slide together. So guess where it comes apart all the time? You got it, the places without the "spring clip". It's like they started to design it with quality and then the head engineer started drinking.
3. The instructions are very weak. All it comes with is a picture of all the poles and how they slide together. No wording at all! Nothing to explain what the best order of installation is and nothing explaining how to put together any of the tarps.
